15. Fleece Scarf 5 minutes
For each scarf, purchase 1/4 yard of 60"-wide fleece. Trim off the selvages and cut an 8" x 60" rectangle. Cut 1/2" x 4" strips at each end to create fringe.
16. Fashion Belt 10 minutes
Purchase one set of 1 1/2" D-rings and a necktie (or ask a man in your life for a spare). Using the waist measurement plus 9", measure from the tie narrow end; cut off the remainder. Pull back the tie fabric and trim 1" from the interfacing. Smooth the fabric back, turn under the raw end 1/2"; baste. Thread the basted end through both D-rings and stitch the end to the tie to secure.
17. Beaded Scarf 25 minutes
Purchase 1/3 yard of 45"-wide fabric and 5/8 yard of beaded fringe for a quick wardrobe accessory.
Trim the fabric edges so they're straight, creating a 9" x 45" rectangle. Serge or hand stitch a narrow hem around the perimeter. Add beaded fringe to the short ends, turning under the trim raw ends.
