Designing for Plus Sizes

If you're a plus size, make the most of the clothes you sew by thinking of yourself as a pattern designer.

EVERY TIME YOU SEW A GARMENT, you also get to design it. A pattern supplies the garment's basic design elements, but you provide the rest, making decisions about fabrics, colors and trims and how best to use them. When shopping for patterns and fabrics, there are several things you can do as a designer to enhance your plus-size design.
