Organic cotton fabric is a great choice for bedding. Not only is it softer to the touch than conventionally grown cotton, but it's also available in 100"- to 113"-wide sateen sheeting. The thread count ranges from 233 to 440, while the thread count of conventional cotton fabric ranges from 180 to 360. By choosing organically grown cotton you'll do a great service to our planet because organic cotton is grown with natural fertilizers and is free from toxic chemicals. Allergy-prone individuals and people with sensitive skin especially benefit from bedding made of organic cotton. So go organic and contribute to a healthier you and a healthier planet. Reversible Duvet
Change your duvet cover with the seasons by using summer colors on one side and fall colors on the other. Turn the duvet cover over for a quick update.
To make the featured duvet cover, stitch 20 fabric tubes measuring 1"x 7"; leave an opening along one long edge for turning. Topstitch the tie perimeters, closing the openings with the stitches. Knot one short end of each tie. Stitch the opposite tie edges to the fabric and lining as directed for the ribbons (see figure 7 on the previous page). Finish the duvet cover as instructed for the ribbon duvet.
