Office Space

Ellen Marchant

Is your office cluttered with papers, bills, magazines and catalogs? Here are a few projects to help you redecorate your way to productivity.

BEFORE EVEN THINKING ABOUT REDECORATING YOUR OFFICE you've got to create some order. Shred paid utility bills, organize bank statements and receipts into separate piles, locate all of the pens and pencils floating around your desk, and decide which magazines and catalogs you can recycle or give away. Once you've cleared some space, stitch a few boxes to organize your piles and create a couple of fabric-covered bulletin boards to match. You'll actually want to work in the space when you're finished.
