Sew News: The Fashion Collection
Spring 2004

By Susan Voigt-Reising

Making a Point of It

Spring is filled with occasions calling for a great dress, and McCall's 4372 (Misses'/Miss Petite sizes 4 to 20) rises to them all with a languid, body-skimming silhouette. The dart-fitted, back-zip sheath can be sleeveless or short-sleeved. Two ankle-skimming layers create an eye-catching hemline of intersecting angles, perfect for layering a print and solid-or two prints that create the effect of a third through their pattern play. Or choose just one layer and fabricate in casual cotton for everyday wear.
